As the Posterity Party, we believe the government's only role should be to help the people defend themselves from force and fraud. The approach to politics should be based on the beliefs of the people. Everybody should have the right of body, action, speech, and property.
In Pulaski, we believe that our "government" (principal, vice-principal) should not have all the power. The principal's and vice-principal's should only have the power to help students in their goals to learn and grow as people. We the people (the students) should have more power over our school. Students can participate in mock government events like elections for mayor and governor. These people elected could participate in a meeting with other governors and mayors as a big student ruled committee. Students have the right to speech, body, action and property. Students have the right to say things as long as they are in the limits. They also have the right to themselves, and nobody, like the government, can take that away. What they do is not anybody else's fault but theirs, but they also have the right to act in an appropriate response to something. Finally, their stuff is their stuff, and unless willingly given to somebody, the government cannot take away their property without a reasonable/ probably cause, and cannot search a students property without having an appropriate reason.
